Rim Country Health takes great pride in the exceptional care provided to every resident.  As an extension to our outstanding “in-house” care, we are proud to offer a Wellness Program, provided at no charge, to our community.  This Wellness Program covers a variety of educational topics offered each month, as well as supervised open gym time to practice the skills acquired during the education classes. Each class leaves time for questions and answers.
 OPEN GYM REQUIREMENTS

must be provided at the initial workout
.

JANUARY 5th and 19th
"Fall Prevention"
Each year, thousands of older persons fall at home.  Many are seriously injured and some are disabled.  Falls are often due to hazards that are easy to overlook but easy to fix.  This course will help to identify hazards in your home and provide instruction of basic exercises that will help prevent falls if performed
consistently.

FEBRUARY 2nd and 16th
"Osteoporosis Exercise"

One of the best ways to strengthen your bones and prevent osteoporosis is by getting regular weight-bearing exercise.  Even if you already have osteoporosis, exercising can help maintain the bone mass you have.  This course will provide instruction on effective exercises that can be completed in the home setting.
